Drake is well-known for his distinct blend of hip-hop, R&B, and pop elements, as well as his contemplative and emotionally powerful lyrics. He’s had a succession of hit albums and singles throughout the years, including “Take Care,” “Nothing Was the Same,” “Views,” and “Scorpion.”
More than three months after coining the term “For All the Dogs,” Drake has finally launched a new album. While fans are celebrating, the rapper has made a stunning surprise for all of his admirers. He stated that he is taking a musical hiatus to focus on his health.
Drake recently remarked on SiriusXM’s Sound 42, “I probably won’t make music for a little while.” I’m going to be honest with you: I need to prioritize my health. Nothing out of the ordinary, but I just want people to be healthy in life.”
The God’s Plan singer said that he has had “crazy problems” with his stomach for “years” and will now solve them. “I need to focus on my health and get back on track, and I’m going to do that.” So I’m going to lock the studio door for a little while. “I have no idea what a little bit is,” he continued, adding that he might be gone for “maybe a year.”
It’s worth noting that Drake addressed the Millie Bobby Brown controversy in his latest album, “For All the Dogs,” on the track “Another Late Night.” Fans may recall that Drake was described as “a great friend and a great role model” by the young actress a few years back.
Despite the two stars’ age difference, others questioned their friendship. However, Millie Bobby Brown addressed such worries in 2018, stating that it was “weird” to focus on their “lovely friendship” rather than more serious real-world challenges. “I’m very blessed to have amazing people in my life,” she wrote. You don’t get to select that.
Drake uses a similar strategy in “Another Late Night,” calling out “weirdos” in his comments “talkin’ ’bout some Millie Bobby” before wondering what would happen if those same “weirdos” took their “jokes up to the gang.” “My bank account is magnolia, Milly rockin’, ayy,” the verse begins. Look at the weirdos on my comments talking about Millie Bobby. Bring them jokes up to the gang, and we’ll start flockin’. Or put a finger in some FedEx boxes and send it to your mother. Open that crap, it’s jaw-droppingly shocking, ayy. This s*it becomes extremely bumpy, ayy, and I ain’t beautiful flacko.”
