Margot Robbie and Ryan Gosling are set to reunite for a prequel to the iconic Ocean’s Eleven franchise, and it’s still moving forward according to producer Josey McNamara.

“I think we’re just trying to do right by the franchise,” McNamara said in a recent interview. “I’m excited for people to experience it when it’s ready.”
The prequel will be set in the 1960s and will tell the love story of Robbie and Gosling’s characters, who are both con artists. The film will also feature a heist, of course.
McNamara didn’t reveal any other details about the film, but he did say that he’s excited for people to see Robbie and Gosling together on screen again. The two stars previously co-starred in the critically acclaimed film Barbie, which was released earlier this year.
The Ocean’s Eleven franchise is one of the most popular heist film series of all time. The original film, which was released in 2001, starred George Clooney, Brad Pitt, and Matt Damon. Two sequels were released in 2004 and 2007, and a female-led spin-off, Ocean’s 8, was released in 2018.
The Ocean’s Eleven prequel is still in the early stages of development, but with Robbie and Gosling attached, it’s sure to be one of the most anticipated films of the next few years.
