Zack Snyder was in London today to promote his upcoming Netflix film Rebel Moon, which will be available in December. In April, a sequel will be released.
Zack shared excerpts from the film and addressed character arcs, which we can’t discuss yet, alongside his producing partner Deborah Snyder. We also learnt that the first installment is titled A Child of Fire, and the second installment is titled The Scargiver.

What Happens In The Trailer?
The Rebel Moon trailer starts with the narrative of Princess Issa, as told by Jimmy, a robot voiced by Anthony Hopkins. “In myth, she was called the redeemer,” Jimmy continues. “It was said that this child would put an end to the madness of war.” She would usher forth a new era of peace and compassion. I’ve been handed memories of a world I’ll never see. I cannot serve a king’s loyalty. And love for a child I was unable to save.”
We witness the Rebel Moon heroes, who resemble a cross between farmers and military. And then there are the baddies, who dress in Nazi-style uniforms. Another nod to Star Wars.
Characters discuss how love is a weakness, the difference between justice and vengeance, and the cost of rebellion. There are also images of enormous animals, including a quick glimpse of a woman-spider.
We hear Djimon Hounsou’s General Titus shout out over war scenes, “The time has come, for all that you love – protect each other, and show them no mercy.”
Jimmy says over scenes of Sofia Boutella’s character Kora in action, “A king is a man, and a man can fail.” But a myth is unbreakable.”
